NY Times: NY Times: How the Red Scare Reshaped American Politics
At its height, the political crackdown felt terrifying and all-encompassing. What can we learn from how the movement unfolded—and from how it came to an end? *Editorial by Beverly Gage / Yale History Professor

Oh the butt-hurt emanating from the Fake Historians of High Quackademia! The Q Operation (being fronted by Commander Trump) has not only undone so much deliberately destructive policy; but, in so doing, is threatening the delicate egos of our esteemed "intellectuals" by correcting loads of Fake History. In her garbage editorial, Ivy League "educated" (Columbia and Yale) professorette Beverly Gage ignorantly whines:."When, exactly, was America great? For as long as Donald Trump has touted the MAGA slogan, he has been cagey about the answer. But recent weeks have suggested a few possibilities. One is the Gilded Age of the late nineteenth century, when tariffs, crony capitalism, and hard-and-fast racial hierarchies were the stuff of American politics. Another is the postwar Red Scare, when the federal government was weaponized against the American left..Trump has long vowed to root out “radical left lunatics” and “Marxist equity” from the bowels of the state. Most members of his Administration now seem to share that commitment. The DOGE overlord Elon Musk proclaimed that U.S.A.I.D. is—or was?—“a viper’s nest of radical-left Marxists” and deserved to be destroyed."..See that? Commander Trump's frequent shout-outs to President William McKinley (one of our historical favs), and Joseph McCarthyesque references to Marxists in our government, have triggered this silly bitch unto unhinged bitching. Her worldview is crumbling right before here eyes -- and hopefully, soon, so too will her bloated Yale salary and book royalties.

Ignorant Ivy League egghead "historian" Beverly Gage hisses out platitudinous venom against McKinley, McCarthy & Cohn, and Trump & Elon Mask.
The rage of Ms. Gage focuses on "the Red Scare" -- a derogatory propaganda term used to dismiss the late great Senator Joseph McCarthy. She attempts to draw a parallel between McCarthy and Trump. Ironically, she's right -- but in her twisted worldview, rooting out scum and subversives is a bad thing. From her article:."The unfortunate truth is that most mechanisms of the Red Scare, including congressional hearings and loyalty investigations, would not be especially hard to revive. Indeed, recent developments have indicated that they might be deployed with genuine glee. Already, the Trump Administration has started asking for lists—of federal workers who attended D.E.I. training, of F.B.I. agents who investigated January 6th cases, of scientists engaged in now suspect areas of work. Trump himself has openly announced his intention to deploy the Justice Department and the F.B.I. against his personal, political, and ideological enemies.".Ms.Gage knows what's happening, and there's not a damn thing that her "elite" ilk can do to thwart the inevitable. Commander Trump -- owing to his backing from a worldwide military alliance of unimaginable irregular warfare powers -- will succeed (actually, has already succeeded) where McCarthy came up short. Gage is aware of the generational bridge connecting McCarthy directly to Trump. The name of that bridge was Roy Cohn -- McCarthy's righteous anti-Marxist Jew and hated "right hand man." Gage closes:."As long as the nation’s “cultural Marxists” feel vulnerable to random accusations or secret investigations, they’ll likely be more careful about what they do and say. As Roy Cohn once instructed a young Donald Trump, much can be accomplished by attacking first and dealing with the consequences later. ".Your lucrative and respected career in Fake History is coming to an end, Ms. Gage. Your books and articles all belong in the garbage. It's Professor Mike King time now, bitch! (or so I hope)

1. On serving McCarthy -- Cohn: "I went to work for Joe McCarthy in January 1953, and was gone by the fall of 1954. Does anybody doubt that is how my obituary will open? -- which is exactly how I want it to read." // 2 & 3: He later worked for Trump.

Boobus Americanus 1: I read in the New York Times today that Trump's pursuit of supposed Marxists is very similar to McCarthy's Red Scare..Boobus Americanus 2: McCarthy --- bad.*St. Sugar: Your Boomer generation will be the last to believe that, Boobuss! .Editor: You I-phone youngin's need to show more respect! It was us Old Guard Boomers / early Xers -- armed with just "contraband" pamphlets and books -- who kept the flame of truth alive until the military gave us the Internet.
