- Add this story to the long list of things that would only be happening if some sort of invisible force was at work in the world. Not only is the "Fascist Dictator" / "Generalissimo" Francisco Franco (1892-1975) enjoying a resurgence in popularity -- especially from Spain's young people -- but the "paper of record" (Q York Times) published a surprisingly (or rather, not surprisingly) somewhat objective story about this welcome development, notwithstanding the obligatory "street cred" barbs about "autocracy" and "dictatorship."

This occasion of the 50th anniversary of Franco's death represents a good "teachable moment" â„¢ for briefly summarizing the heroic achievement of this great man of Spain.

1936-1939 // The Spanish Civil War

Nationalist General Franco led a rebellion against a democratic socialist government in Spain that was tipping into pure Marxism. Spain, at the time, was deeply divided over the Civil War -- with Socialists, Communists, and liberals fighting for the government, and Nationalists, conservatives, and the Catholic Church favoring Franco. The war became a proxy war between Nationalism and Globalism -- essentially a prelude for World War II. Germany, Portugal and Italy provided direct and indirect military aid to Franco as Stalin's Soviet Union sent arms to the Spanish government.
.In addition to the material aid provided by the Soviets, volunteers for the Communist Internationale (Comintern for short) arrived to fight Franco's forces. The Red Ranks would include many Jewish terrorists from Poland and also American Communists (disproportionately Jewish) of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade. As usual, Red fighters committed ghastly atrocities against civilians, such as setting fire to the wives and children of Nationalist officers after dousing them with petrol. Determined to stamp out Christianity, they raped nuns, tortured priests, and set fire to churches with the worshipers locked inside. The Spanish Civil War finally ended in victory for Franco, but the war between New World Order Globalism and European Nationalism was only just beginning. Unfortunately, it wasn't long after Franco's death in 1975 that the libtarded King Juan Carlos began plotting with Spanish libtards to gradually convert conservative Catholic Spain into a "progressive" province of a rapidly unifying and degenerating Marxist Europe.

And that, boys and girls, is why the youth-fueled resurgence of Francophilia offers Spaniards, and even Europeans in general, at least a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, Europe is still salvageable. Viva Franco!
