NY Times: Done With Never Trump

In 2005, the Globalist World Economic Forum "prophetically" named Israel First warmonger Bret Stephens a Young Global Leader. After having scribbled as a columnist and former Editor-in-Chief of The Jerusalem Compost and deputy editorial page editor at The Wall Street Urinal, the Jewish "neoconservative" then joined "the paper of record" as its in-house "conservative" columnist in 2017 -- Qommander Trump's first year in office. Like so many of his fellow neocons, Stephens was a fanatical and hateful "Never Trumper." Described as "one of Trump's most outspoken conservative critics," Stephens once compared Trump to Italian Fascist boss man Benito Mussolini. In 2018 he argued that Trump should be impeached over nothing. In 2019, the Slimes-approved "conservative" wrote:

"Nearly three years into Donald Trump’s presidency, America needs a hard scrub and a deep cleanse. It needs to wash out the grime and grease of a Trump administration that every day does something to make the country feel soiled."

Indeed, Stephens's credentials as an anti-Trump fanatic are impeccable. For his relentless and nasty attacks on Trump, this "conservative" had earned the respect and admiration of the Slimes' libtarded Marxist readership. But in his latest piece, Stephens -- (or is it "Stephens?") -- executed a perfect "rugpull" that has got the demoralized remnants of of the overlapping Kingdoms of Libtardia and Neocondom all butthurt. From his recent column, dated December 20, 2024:

"It’s been more than nine years since I first denounced Donald Trump as a “loudmouth vulgarian appealing to quieter vulgarians.” I’ve called myself a Never Trump conservative ever since, even when I agreed with his policies from time to time. I also opposed him throughout his run this year..Is it time to drop the heavy moralizing and incessant doomsaying that typified so much of the Never Trump movement — and that rendered it politically impotent and frequently obtuse? Yes, please."

Here’s a thought for Trump’s perennial critics, including those of us on the right: Let’s enter the new year by wishing the new administration well, by giving some of Trump’s cabinet picks the benefit of the doubt, by dropping the lurid historical comparisons to past dictators, by not sounding paranoid about the ever-looming end of democracy, by hoping for the best and knowing that we need to fight the wrongs that are real and not merely what we fear, that whatever happens, this too shall pass. Enjoy the holidays."
